Pediatric Dentists are specially trained in many areas to make your child's dental experience a pleasant one. We use many different techniques such as Tell-Show-Do and various distraction techniques. If your child would need extensive dental treatment, Dr. Christensen is trained to use nitrous oxide (laughing gas) or other types of in-house sedation. He is also on staff at the Children's Hospital—the 5th best hospital in the US for children —if your child would need to be under a general anesthesia for treatment.
Dr. Christensen takes great pride in his entire dentistry staff. Dental assistants at FPD are also knowledgeable in child behavior techniques and have considerable extra training. The entire office staff takes a team approach to your child’s dental care.
Unlike general family dentistry, we specialize in the dental health of children ages 12 months to 18 years. We work hard to create a “dentistry home” for you child from their first visit to their graduation to adult dental needs. We maintain a dental history for each child—to effectively treat and care for them at each visit.
